ARGOS @ YOKOHAMA AND KYOTO

SCREENING

Argos has been invited in Yokohama (18 September, Yokohama Civic Art Center - Gallery Azamino) and Kyoto (20 September, Kyoto Art Center - Theater Scope) to present its functioning and a program of historic and recent Belgian films, aiming to introduce a broad Japanese audience to rich and eclectic video art scene of Belgium.

Belgian video art is internationally known for its avant-gardism, its eclecticism and its multiples crossovers with other disciplines. Belgian artists have long been pioneers in the use of the medium.

The program 'Treasures from the Argos Collection' brings together works by Jacques-Louis Nyst, Eric Pauwels, Luc Deleu, Filip Francis & De Nieuwe Coloristen, Wendy Morris, Nicolas Provost and Hans Op de Beeck.
