LA GIRAFE

’La Girafe’ was presented on the lawn of the Saint-Etienne-le-Vieux church, near the roundabout of the townhall of the city Caen (FR). During the local event ’Arts’sisses de la rue’, ’La Girafe’ was projected onto a billboard which was set up especially on the lawn of the prestigious town square, a popular tourist destination. A photographic sequence was combined with text: black and white photos taken from different positions of a water tank named La Girafe interact with its history. Through the issuing of a post card, La Girafe was also playfully integrated in the architectural heritage of the town, temporarily turning the water tank into a tourist highlight.
