Sophie Coppé followed Koen en Frank Theys in the production process of their ground-breaking video 'De Walküre' (1989, second part of the diptych 'Song of My Soil' ('Lied van mijn land'). Apart from following their intense rehearsal process, and showing images out of the original piece, the brothers talk openly about the project with the dramaturge Reinder Pols. Thus a vast reflection - the piece carries the subtitle 'A work in progress' - is woven around the becoming of an art video piece based on Wagner's most memorable opera.
