Come and visit the exhibition STEP UP! Belgian Dance and Performance on Camera. Chapter 2 with our guides and explore the history of dance and performance in Belgium. A fascinating selection of works of a very exciting era in which the Belgian artistic production at the intersection of dance, performance, visual and audio-visual arts experienced a remarkable peak. With work by artists and choreographers such as Thierry De Mey, Lili Dujourie, Sven Augustijnen, Anne Teresa De Keersmaeker, Jan Fabre and Steve Paxton.
19:00 > 1:00
Exhibition Four Directions of Heaven by Alexis Destoop
Four Directions of Heaven features a cluster of new and recent works that mock our expectations. Underlying the work there is a long-term research project concerning the status of landscapes in transition: the Australian outback, the cosmopolitan town of Hong Kong, as well as regions in Norway, Russia and other parts of Europe. These images are juxtaposed with private testimonies, experiences and findings. But the artist also intervenes, assembles and abstracts. Thus individual voices turn into a composite of fragmented comments and stories that bear witness to a strong commitment with regard to (neo)colonial and ecological issues, as well as the economic value and geopolitical importance of a landscape.
22:00 > midnight : Concert Capelo + Milan W. (Live concerts electro ambient experimental)
Capelo is a mysterious synth duo composed by Eve Decampo and Michel Nyarwaya. In their garage, they compose light hearted, playful lo-fi pop music which results in fragile, emotional and burning-inside songs.
Milan W. is the moniker of the Antwerp-based multi-instrumentalist Milan Warmoeskerken, who is best known as the half of synth duo Mittland Och Leo. His music, bubbling with electronica textures, will plunge you into deep and ambient sonorities of the nineties.
