HANS OP DE BEECK

Visual artist Hans Op de Beeck (1969) is internationally renowned for his multidisciplinary approach. Apart from large-scale sculptural installations and videos he also makes photographs, smaller sculptures, drawings, bas-reliefs and film animations. A less familiar part ofhis artistic production is made out by his texts, novellas, sound fragments and short essays, popping up here and there by themselves, or as part of another work. In his artistic practice, he shows an interest in the alienation of modern life and a preference for the absurd areas of the no man’s land. During a full evening programme on the occasion of the screening of All together now… in the Black Box, the artist will present and elucidate a concise selection from his production. Furthermore he will outline his thematical fascinations more indirectly, through short text fragments.
