In 'Notstands bordstein' [State of Emergency Kerb] the title word is projected continuously in white letters on a black background; the video refers to a dé-coll/age happening in Munich on 6 May 1969 in collaboration with gallery Van de Loo. The film was a 'Strassenfilm' [street film], during which Vostell projected the same word with a 16 mm projector from a car that moved around town onto buildings, pavements, cars, etc. (Berta Sichel)
