ANICK LEROY

"Annik Leroy studied architecture and visual arts at La Cambre in Brussels and she is a professor at ERG (Ecole de recherche graphique) and Sint-Lukas (Brussels). Apart from documentaries and films she is also involved in photography. Her style is poetic, her films are often in B/W. Leroy’s work has been presented at, among others, the International Filmfestival Berlin and it won the award for best documentary during the Ann Arbor Film Festival (Michigan, USA). In 2002 her book Danube – Hölderlin was published with Editions La Part de l’Oeil. Leroy lives and works in Brussels." (argos festival 2004 catalogue)
