Massart defines the freedom of the artist as one of the most paradoxical terms. While the audience of the debate considers the artist to be one of the freest figures, the artist or writer himself feels that he is subject to restrictions. Massart is being filmed at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Brussels where he is lecturer at that time. He is also elaborating on his way of teaching.
