JONATHAN
Jonathan, a student at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Brussels, declares that the freedom of the artist is important, and that the media constitute a barrier to that freedom. Filmed in the street, the interview evolves into a conversation about what an artist learns at an academy, and about what the point of that education is, considering, for example, classes in anatomy. Jonathan is never completely visible. His face stays largely out of shot, and the camera focuses on him sitting on a slope connecting the pavement to the academy’s entrance.
