THE IMBECILE

Devoid of close friends, a wealthy man, with perverse pleasures and lack of company, invites his aquaintances into his homes and gains the sympathy of his sons, promising an advantageous inheritance that another son refuses, causing irritation and total incomprehension, – irritation also created by his wife, that the man has bought her jewelry with his fortune "acquired honestly", insists dubiously the old man, only able now to seduce a certain category of women (honest ?)...
