Our history is full of pig, such as the slaughter-ready pig is pregnant of the meat that we like so much. Anywhere in the world, the pig is charged with symbolism, stories and images. The pig carries our passion and rejection. At the end of the day, pigs reveal people. And the greedy pig is the metaphor of a voracious world economy. But the gluttony of mankind is dangerous, and, for the first time in history, maybe fatal. To understand 'the pig in us', we have to write the 'history of the pig'.
