FID MARSEILLE 2015

Argos is happy to announce the participation of five distribution and collection related artists at the 26th edition of the international documentary film festival FID Marseille.

Maurits Wouters’ absorbing documentary ‘The Movement of Phill Niblock’ (2015), a portrait of the drone composer, structural filmmaker and New York sixties-icon Phill Niblock, will run in official competition.

In the framework of the vast parallel screening program at FID, Sarah & Katrien Vanagt present their fresh ‘In Waking Hours’ (2015), a reflection on the experiments of the Amsterdam 17th century physician Vopiscus Fortunatus Plempius, while Joachim Olender screens his recent ‘La collection qui n'existait pas’ (2014), a documentary in which we follow conceptual art collector Herman Daled. Effi Weiss and Amir Borenstein present 'The Vanishing Vanishing-Point' (2014), an experimental documentary on the unusual appearance of an olive tree in a Brussels' park.

Pieter Geenen, finally, will participate in the exhibition ‘Exposition Villa Méditerranée’ with his startling ‘The Nation’ (2014), a portrait of the isolated people of Nagorno-Karabakh and a reflection on (national) identity, migration and borders, in relation to the mental and physical land.
