BRENT KLINKUM

Brent Klinkum (Christchurch, New Zealand, 1960) founded Transat Video (www.transatvideo.org) in 1994 and has directed it since. In 2010 he has curated several exhibitions; Hors du commun at the Abbaye-aux-Dames in Caen, Le temps du corps at the Swedish Institute in Paris and was the general curator for Suspended Spaces #1: depuis Famagusta, a collective project resulting in an exhibition in five different spaces in Amiens with productions from over 30 European artists. Amongst the film and video programmes he has curated in 2010, there has been an Abcédaire encapsulating 40 years of French video art at the Laval Theatre, A New History of Cinema at the School of Media and Art in Caen, (dé)Colonisation at the Cinema Lux, a critical appraisal of the French 50th anniversary of African decolonisation, or programmes for Angst in Form at the Werkleitz Festival in Halle, Germany.
