RAINBOW MARKET

A recording of a street performance by Aï Suzuki was edited with Baes’ typical time-lapse techniques into a kinetic staccato game with movement and space. The reflection of the choreography on the urban surroundings, the radical upheaval of the temporal dimension and the intensity of the resounding images bestow a double, seemingly contradictory character on the film, both tender and subversive.
