THE NIGHT BEFORE

This video is inspired by haptonomy, an affective, physical form of prenatal communication with the foetus. When a hand is placed on an expectant mother’s belly, her unborn baby responds by moving close to it and, if the hand moves, by following its position. In the video this interaction is simulated by the projection of a film on a pregnant belly. A few hours after the recording, the baby was actually born.
