KOEN THEYS

Jan Florizoone enlarges his series of extremely personal, intimate portraits of artists (Franky DC, Gorik Lindemans, Ever Meulen) with a video on visual artist Koen Theys. Armed with a video camera, Florizoone follows Theys who is himself armed with a photo camera: this takes place at various locations in Brussels; at times with the cameraman getting in the way of the photographer. Commentaries about ‘abstraction’ and ‘presentation’ enliven the action. Car journeys alternate with recordings at outdoor locations.
