US/THEM

Us/them is a non-linear montage of images from two cultures, shown alongside one another and out of sync. The film's slow pace gives the viewer the feeling the he or she is actuallly present. The mythical character of a pre-industrial culture alternates with the modernity of the western world. A possible link between the two elements is suggested by two Asmat brothers who travelled to The Netherlands in 2000.
