LIQUID STATES

For this year-long project, Edith Dekyndt regularly recorded the meteorology webcam images from coastlines in different corners of the globe, so that she could visit these landscapes without the sun ever setting. Seven monitors each broadcast the views of a single place, positioned one after the next in chronological order. The result is a jerky video, rather like when a webcam image is refreshed, and the data it presents no longer spatial but temporal.
