ROLL 'N ROLL

Shot in strongly contrasting black and white imagery, this short piece shows three children playing in the fields on a summer afternoon, the sky filled with dramatic clouds. While one of them climbs atop a bale of straw, the two others roll the him through the field. Underpinned with startling, somewhat melancholic piano music, ‘Roll ‘n roll’ appeals to vague but recognisable childhood memories of the viewer.
