TABOURETS

In the video ‘Tabourets’, recorded in stop-motion, Cattelain undertakes several attempts to build a globelike shape with straight, edgy stools. In his work Claude Cattelain tries to catch the essence of the volatile. His video miniatures are flashes of amazement and fragility, staged at times, or noticed in passing. Impulsive, not without a sense of humour, Cattelain records an actual spatial escapism or emotional turning points.
