'The Body in the Bavarian Woods' tells the story of the happy life of a farmer and his cows. Each month the farmer takes three of his cows to the butcher in the village. The farmer lives a carefree life and is very proud of his cows. Then, one day, fate strikes and the cows become ill because the region is stricken by a lasting drought. The farmer is at his wits’ end and for days he keeps driving around in distress in his tractor, grieving as he sees his cows dying. Then he disappears and after some time his dead body is found in the forest.
