A journey full of irony, and nevertheless serious, through a painting by Brueghel (Landscape with the Fall of Icarus), through a country (Belgium) and through the diary of the author. Shot between June and November 1996, between the official abolition of the death penalty and the White March, the film keeps asking the same question: "what does it mean to watch?".
