THURSDAY@ARGOS - LECTURE
The Berlin-based magazine, An Architektur, was established in 2002 and focuses on how the built environment comes about and how it is used. An Architektur investigates discursive architectural practice. Monothematic examples of issues involving space and architecture are tested with socio-political criteria and examined in a critical context. An Architektur highlights the broader social and political implications of subjects that are normally only looked at in the architectural domain, examining their affect on daily life. The magazine is published twice a year, with each issue serving as a starting point for exhibitions, lectures and other events. In this lecture, the editors of An Architektur tell about their cartographical approach and, more specifically, about their work on migration geography in Poland.
