Maria Jerez mainly works in: Europe
She officially lives in: Madrid
Her work travels in between: choreography, cinema and visual arts
She is interested in: the unspeakable and the indifference
She produces the works: “El Caso del Espectador” (2004), “This Side Up” (2006), “The Perfect Alibi” (2011-12), “ba-deedly-deedly-deedly-dum ba-boop-be-doop!” (2014), “Alma de Rímel & The Glammatics” (2015), “Blob” (2016) inside her project “What Is Third” and “Yabba” (2017).
She made the film: “The Movie” (2008) inside the project “The Neverstarting Story” a collaboration with Cristina Blanco, Amaia Urra and Cuqui Jerez with whom she has collaborated in several projects
She has also worked and collaborated with: Juan Domínguez, Elii, Arantxa Martínez, Alejandra Pombo, Jorge Dutor, Guillem Mont de Palol, Luis Miguel Félix, Ben Evans, Gary Stevens, Forced Entertainment, Phil Hayes and Jerôme Bel, among others
She began developing her own work inside the project: Mugatxoan
She has been part of the group of work: El CLUB (Madrid)
Since 2010 she co-organizes: Living Room Festival (Madrid) with Juan Domínguez, Luis Úrculo and Cuqui Jerez
She co-curates: PICNIC SESSIONS 2017, program at CA2M with Maria Eguizabal and Magui Dávila
She teaches at: MA Practice on Performing Arts and Visual Culture (Madrid)
She has teached at: MA Tricontinental, UEM 2014 & 2015.
She is currently working on her project: “Anto va à l’école”, “Nada va a la escuela” or “Maria gaat naar School” a research on learning processes, knowledge and language that inverts the roles of teaching in different schools in Europe
