PAULINE JULIER
Pauline Julier (1981, Geneva) is an artist and filmmaker. She explores the connections that people make with their environment through stories, rituals, knowledge and images. Her films and installations combine elements of different origins (documentary, theoretical, fictional) to reflect the complexity of our relationships with the world. Her installations and films have been screened in contemporary art centers, institutions and festivals around the world (Centre Pompidou, Paris, Loop, Barcelona, Visions du Réel, Nyon, Tokyo Wonder Site, etc.). She received the Swiss Art Award twice (2010, 2021) and the ‘‘Mondes Nouveaux’’ Grant from the French Cultural Department in 2022. She has a major solo show at Aargauer Kunsthaus (Switzerland) in 2024 and is currently working on her first fiction feature film.
